Berlin, 1925. A Jewish children’s hospital opens its doors with a simple promise: every child who enters is to be treated, Jewish or not.

At its head stands the formidable paediatrician Dr Dinah Halberstam. Alongside her, doctors, nurses and religious figures build a modern institution devoted to healing at a time when medicine, public health and social responsibility still seem capable of shaping a better future.

Then Germany changes.
